Job Description:
Position Purpose Facilities Management is an exceptionally talented team built from a diverse group of individuals who are passionate about providing the highest levels of quality craftsmanship, customer service, and teamwork through sustainable practices and who take pride in supporting the mission of the University and Facilities Management "We Care" principle values. The Water Treatment Technician performs tests and maintains proper chemical level and heating systems, steam generators and AC water towers. Job Qualifications and Competencies High School diploma/GED Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator's license is required. Providence Boiler Operator's License for the City of Providence. Must maintain required licenses as a condition of employment. Two years' experience in chemical water treatment and actual boiler operation. Some academic background in chemistry or training in the practical application of chemicals preferred. A thorough knowledge of closed heating systems, steam generator stations, and A/C water towers Background in mechanical injection systems Must be able to follow standard procedures, read and understand blueprints.
