Fort Griffin Special Utility District is seeking a Water Operator/Field Technician for the local rural water supply system. Duties include, but not limited to: Routine maintenance and operations of water system Repair water main breaks and leaks Replace or install water meters Flush waterlines Operate valves Make water taps and install water service lines Meter reading Cleaning and upkeep of vehicles and equipment Operation of backhoe, mower, and various tools Must interact professionally and respectfully with the public and coworkers. Position requires 24hr on call rotation for after hour call-outs and holidays. Occasionally called in outside normal hours for emergency repairs or natural disasters. A class C Water Distribution license and Class A CDL are both preferred, but not required. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Salary, depends on experience.
