In this energetic role, you will operate, monitor, and maintain water treatment and distribution systems to deliver clean water to our members. Your expertise will help uphold environmental standards, optimize system performance, and support public health initiatives. This position offers an engaging environment where your mechanical skills and technical knowledge make a tangible difference every day. Responsibilities Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to manage water treatment processes efficiently. Conduct routine equipment repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance on pumps, valves, and other treatment infrastructure. Perform heavy equipment operation including excavators and skid steer for construction or maintenance projects. Collect and analyze data related to water quality parameters, flow rates, and system performance to ensure compliance with safety standards. Execute plumbing tasks such as pipe repairs, fittings installation, and leak detection to maintain system integrity. Support construction activities by preparing sites, operating heavy machinery safely, and adhering to project timelines. Apply basic math skills for calculations involving flow rates, chemical dosages, and system measurements while maintaining accurate records. Engage in analysis of operational data to identify trends or issues that could impact water quality or system efficiency. Participate in emergency response procedures when needed to address system failures or contamination events. Experience We will take applications for either experienced operators or entry level applicants. Pay will be based on experience.
