The Sanitation Supervisor maintains and oversees the sanitation activities at the facility while actively promoting a continuous improvement environment for the sanitation process and employees. The individual will ensure day-to-day cleanliness and sanitary compliance of the plant operations, while maintaining adherence to plant sanitary policies, documentation activities, processes and procedures. In collaboration with other Tampico employees, this person ensures all plant sanitation activities are carried out and documented according to established standards, regulatory requirements, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) by verifying the use and effectiveness of the required preventive controls for the food safety system. This position is responsible for oversight of the sanitation personnel and the team's performance in completion of all required daily sanitation activities. This Sanitation Supervisor reports to the Quality Manager.RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day company sanitation activities per the quality system to ensure adherence to regulations, company programs, and procedural requirements. Conduct sanitation and environmental testing and record, monitor, and analyze data to identify and eliminate any potential risks related to sanitation activities. Train staff in proper sanitation procedures, techniques and recordkeeping, providing ongoing education and refresher training. Create, maintain and manage records for identified non-compliances or opportunities on corrective / preventive actions implementation. Recognize and resolve sanitation related issues promptly to maintain a hygienic environment. Maintain sanitation equipment, ordering supplies as needed to ensure operational efficiency.QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in the field of Science required; Bachelor's degree in the field of Science preferred; Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point Certification (HACCP)required. 3+ years working in the field of quality in Food & Beverage manufacturing required; 1+ years supervising in a Food & Beverage plant preferred. Experienced, GMP and Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) Quality System management. Experience working with and maintaining sanitation and testing equipment. Able to stand or sit for prolonged period of time, lift 50lbs and climb stairs. Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office. Ability to problem solve, multi-task and adapt to changing operational and organizational needs. Experienced in training and developing employees skills and knowledge in the are of sanitation and food safety Position required to work varying shifts and weekends at times to support project execution requirements Ideal place of residence is Palestine, TX, or surrounding areasNOTE:
