Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Performs all operational duties at all water treatment plants on a shift basis to functionally supply the City of Harlingen with potable water. This position is responsible for operating, maintaining and repairing the City's water treatment plant.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION
High School Diploma or GED (required) Technical courses in water plant operations or a combination of experience and training (PREFERRED)
CERTIFICATION
Certification at an "A", "B", or "C", level in surface water plant operations or ability to obtain within a set time depending on the license and experience level Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License
EXPERIENCE
Water Treatment experience (PREFERRED) Basic computer skills Experience in using basic hand tools and some large equipment (PREFERRED)
