In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing wastewater treatment systems to ensure environmental compliance and operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep our water treatment processes running smoothly, supporting community health and sustainability initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced mechanical systems, heavy equipment, and control technologies in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on wastewater treatment equipment and associated mechanical systems Troubleshoot issues with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) to ensure continuous operation of water treatment processes Conduct data collection and analysis to monitor system performance and identify areas for improvement Operate heavy equipment safely for construction, maintenance, or repair tasks related to wastewater infrastructure Repair pumps, valves, piping, and other mechanical components using plumbing skills and mechanical knowledge Assist with tankers and transportation of water or waste materials as needed for system maintenance or emergency response Document maintenance activities, system anomalies, and repair logs accurately for compliance and reporting purposes Skills Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in equipment repair and maintenance in water treatment or wastewater environments Proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS) used in automation of treatment processes Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently during construction or repair projects Skilled in plumbing, basic math, data collection, and analysis to troubleshoot system issues effectively Knowledge of wastewater treatment procedures, heavy lifting techniques, and construction practices Experience with water treatment systems, including pumps, filters, tanks, and chemical dosing equipment Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail for routine maintenance and emergency repairs Join us in making a difference by ensuring the integrity of our water treatment systems!
