Water Treatment Specialist Job Summary:
A Water Treatment Specialist is responsible for monitoring, operating, and maintaining water and wastewater treatment systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards. They analyze water quality, troubleshoot treatment processes, and optimize system performance to provide safe and efficient water treatment services. Key Responsibilities Operate and monitor water treatment equipment and systems. Conduct routine testing and analysis of water quality parameters. Adjust chemical dosing and treatment processes to maintain water quality standards. Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot pumps, filters, valves, and related equipment. Collect and document water samples and operational data. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Respond to system alarms, equipment failures, and water quality emergencies. Prepare reports and maintain accurate operational records. Support preventive maintenance programs and equipment repairs. Train operators and staff on treatment procedures and safety practices. Assist with process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
