Operator Treatment Job Type:
Full-Time SUMMARY The Water Treatment Operator is responsible for performing water treatment operations safely and effectively at various company locations. This role involves chemical dosing, water testing, and maintenance of water treatment equipment. The operator will be required to work at heights of 15 feet or more, monitor water quality, and ensure that all safety procedures are followed. Basic knowledge of oil field chemistry is a major plus.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Laying and picking up poly line, running transfer pumps, and essential equipment for water treatment operations Conducting lab tests for H2S, ORP, pH, Turbidity, TSS, iron, residual chemical, and TPH/TOG Performing chemical dosing of produced water based on quality, rates, and customer demands Loading and unloading pipe, field materials, and equipment onto trailers and trucks for safe transport Observing machine operations and adjusting controls to maintain specified conditions Setting and servicing pumps and generators at job sites Following safety procedures and using proper PPE as required Assisting in containment and spill clean-ups Communicating with other workers, using signals, radios, and telephones Interacting with customers and other companies on-site Using common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches Driving trucks and other vehicles to transport equipment and personnel to job sites Attending and completing training for DOT, OSHA, and safety certifications Maintaining a clean work area and completing daily reports
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work is regularly performed outdoors in varying weather conditions, including extreme cold, heat, and wet conditions Exposure to moving mechanical parts and environmental factors such as high wind, ice, snow, dust, and vibration Prolonged sitting, standing, and walking Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
EDUCATION
High School Diploma or
GED EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years of water logistics experience 3 years of experience across other disciplines in the industry DAF and chemical treatment experience required
SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1+ year of water treatment experience or equivalent training Strong organizational and time management skills Must be detail-oriented due to the necessity of safety Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to work well in a team environment Knowledge of machines and tools, including design, use, repair, and maintenance Experience in the energy industry a plus Must have Valid Driver's License
WORK SCHEDULE
Full-time, 40 hours per week with the willingness to work additional hours as needed
