Role Summary Located in Richmond, VA, 23231, our facility is looking for a committed Wastewater Machine Operator to help manage our treatment systems effectively. This position is ideal for someone who values environmental health and thrives in a hands-on technical environment. Core Duties Manage and oversee the daily function of wastewater processing systems and related hardware. Conduct regular upkeep and diagnostic checks to keep equipment running at peak efficiency. Gather and evaluate water specimens to ensure all environmental standards and legal requirements are met. Keep precise documentation regarding system performance, maintenance logs, and regulatory reporting. Support the onboarding and safety instruction of incoming personnel regarding facility machinery. Work alongside colleagues to discover and execute methods for enhancing operational workflows. Address system alerts and urgent situations promptly to maintain facility stability. Required Skills and Experience Completion of secondary education; specialized instruction in wastewater management is a plus. Prior background in machine operation, ideally within an industrial or water treatment context. Comprehensive knowledge of how wastewater systems and their components function. Capacity to function effectively both autonomously and within a collaborative group setting. Strong analytical capabilities and a keen eye for precision. Possession of a current driver's license and dependable transit. Flexibility to accommodate varied shifts, such as weekends or holidays, when required.
