Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Trainee or Licensed Operator

Responsibilities:

Augusta Water is currently hiring for a Full-time Licensed Wastewater Operator or a Full-time Wastewater Operator Trainee.

Licensed Operator Salary Range:

Dependent upon Qualifications.

Operator Trainee Salary Range:

$40,705.60 - $50,882.00

Responsibilities:

Perform routine tasks, necessary tests, and apply judgment based upon training and defined operations and maintenance practices related to the processing of wastewater at treatment facilities and/or pump stations; does related work as required.

Required experience:

• Must possess a Virginia Driver's License. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or vocational school. •

The Trainee:

Must obtain a minimum Class 4 operators license within twenty-four (24) months of employment as a condition of successful job performance and continued employment. Must either possess a valid Class B Virginia Commercial Driver's License with air brakes and N endorsements or be able to acquire said license within 12 months of employment. •

The Licensed Operator:

Must possess a Wastewater Works Operator's license (Class 4,3,2, or 1). Must either possess a valid Class B Virginia Commercial Driver's License with air brakes and the N endorsements or be able to acquire the same within six (6) months of employment.
