Job Description

WATER SEWER SUPERVISOR
The City of Montpelier, Vermont is seeking a skilled Water/Sewer Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our water and wastewater systems within the Public Works Department. This hands-on role involves supervising and training staff; performing and overseeing the construction, maintenance, and repair of water and sewer lines, hydrants, and lift stations; ensuring compliance with state water quality and wastewater reporting requirements; coordinating work plans and maintaining accurate records; and responding to emergencies as part of an on-call rotation. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of experience in municipal water/sewer systems, a Vermont CDL, and a Class D Water Certification or higher. Preferred qualifications include four or more years of related experience and the ability to read blueprints and understand pumps and hydraulics. Montpelier is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
