Job Description

WASTEWATER OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN
Seeking a safety-focused Wastewater Operations Technician to support the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of wastewater treatment systems and hazardous waste disposal equipment. This role is responsible for ensuring facility systems remain compliant, operational, and well-maintained.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate and maintain wastewater treatment and disposal systems Monitor pumps, blowers, conveyors, and related equipment Conduct daily inspections and record system readings Report equipment issues and coordinate repairs Collect and process stormwater samples Maintain operational, maintenance, and waste tracking records Receive, handle, recycle, and dispose of hazardous waste materials Track waste shipments and maintain compliance documentation Perform facility grounds maintenance as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with wastewater treatment operations preferred Knowledge of pumps, collection systems, mechanical equipment, and hydraulic systems Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Valid Driver's License required Wastewater Treatment Operator Certification preferred
