The Welder will be responsible for welding and fabrication of components used to assemble products for both Group Ops and Hooksticks. The Welder is also responsible for ensuring that components are made to exact specification and in a timely manner.
Welder Responsibilities:
Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment start and the safe operation of multiple pieces of equipment. Source materials to be utilized in projects. Measure and cut materials to specification. Weld materials, aluminm and steel using the correct bonding material to join components together. Check finished work to ensure that it falls within the tolerances marked on fabrication blueprints. Qualifications for
Welder:
High school diploma or its equivalent is required. Minimum of 1 year prior experience as a welder in a manufacturing environment is required; MIG, steel welding, aluminum welding, pipe fitting, and other welding skills/certifications preferred. Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment, while following standardized work requirements, and adhering to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment. Must be able to work both independently and as a team to achieve production and departmental goals. Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and written instructions to fabricate to exact specifications is required. Must have physical stamina, ability to stand while performing job duties, and ability to lift 50+ pounds as needed throughout workday. Knowledge of Production Procedures and Safety Requirements preferred. Ability to effectively prioritize responsibilities is preferred.
