POSITION SUMMARY

The MIG Welder is responsible for welding trailer components and assemblies according to engineering specifications and quality standards. This role involves equipment setup, overhead crane operation, and welding in multiple positions while supporting trailer frame production.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES MIG

weld steel or aluminum trailer components per engineering drawings and weld symbols Perform welding in flat and vertical positions Set up welders and fixtures according to job requirements Use overhead cranes to position beams, suspensions, landing gear, and trailer assemblies Assemble and tack weld cross members, landing gear braces, brackets, and structural components Weld suspension buckets, king pin nests, skirts, braces (K & V braces), tank brackets, and backing plates as required Use pneumatic tools, including impact guns and clamps Move trailers between welding stations using overhead cranes Secure trailers in turn fixtures and complete final welds after rotation Inspect welds for quality and compliance with specifications Follow all safety procedures and standard operating practices Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Haleyville, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.40 - $27.40/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
