Job Description

PIPE WELDING LEAD NEEDED IN TUSCALOOSA
Pipe Fitting & Welding Lead Job Duties & Responsibilities Fit and weld piping systems to spec, sequence, and schedule. Oversee accurate layout, support install, and final spool readiness. Own the full spool lifecycle—material prep, fitting, welding, and QC readiness. Balance throughput and craftsmanship—your team reflects your standard.
Core Responsibilities:
Lead fabrication of spool assemblies and system piping. Ensure code compliance (ASME, AWS) and proper documentation. Track fitting/welding progress per module schedule.
Expectations:
Ownership:
Treat pipe scope as critical infrastructure—quality and function are non-negotiable.
Execution:
Balance speed and quality. Ensure joints are clean, spaced, and properly supported.
Leadership:
Train new fitters/welders and uphold discipline in work areas.
Problem Solving:
Flag design issues or missing BOM early and escalate quickly. Monday - Friday 45 hrs per week Pay Starts at $38.88 •
