  • 11pm We are seeking skilled and dependable Welders to join our client's team in Fort Smith, AR.
This position offers steady full-time hours with opportunities for overtime. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing a wide range of welding and fabrication duties to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency are consistently met. The Welder role is essential in supporting production needs and contributing to the overall success of the operation.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate MIG, TIG, Arc, and Stick welding equipment based on job requirements and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). Interpret blueprints, job layouts, and welding diagrams to determine specifications. Properly position parts using jigs, fixtures, or clamps. Select and prepare torches, filler rods, and materials per specifications. Connect and adjust regulators and hoses to gas cylinders. Perform welding operations ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Inspect welds for quality, bead size, and accuracy; repair defects and finish as necessary. Grind, chip, or clean welds for a smooth finish. Set up welding cells for production runs. Assist with fabrication machinery and assemble components. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area. Follow all OSHA, ISO, and company safety requirements. Collaborate with team members to optimize productivity. Prepare finished products for shipment, including lifting 60 lbs. with/without assistance.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; vocational welding training preferred. 3-5 years of MIG welding experience required; TIG, Arc, and Stick welding experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints and use measurement tools (tape measures, calipers, gauges). Familiarity with Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS). Knowledge of welding tools, fabrication processes, and quality standards. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Welding certifications may be required depending on supervisor's request. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Ability to lift to 60 lbs. regularly. Must be able to stand for long periods on concrete flooring. Work involves bending, squatting, and other physical movements. Production shop environment with exposure to noise, temperature changes, and mechanical equipment. PPE required, including steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and welding attire. #FSIND
