Welder/Fabricator

Summary:

ICT Fabricators seeks a seasoned Senior Steel Fabricator/Welder with a strong mechanical aptitude and over ten years of machine shop, welding, and fabrication experience, including expertise in AWS D1.6 and D1.4 standards. This pivotal role requires interpreting fabrication prints, precise machine setup for small-medium sized products, and developing machining processes while training others to uphold high quality and efficiency. Leadership and production environment management experience are highly valued.

Responsibilities:

Interpreting details on fabrication and assembly prints Set up and operate a Torchmate CNC Plasma cutter. QC and clean all parts. Fixture, assemble, and weld small assemblies. As per prints and weld specifications. Must have a very high mechanical aptitude. Monitor material inventory. Track parts and assemblies for multiple projects to meet required completion dates.

Qualifications:

10-year minimum Welding & Fabrication experience required. 10-year minimum experience in steel fabrication/welding Welding Experience required. Must pre-qualify o AWS D1.6 and D1.4 (up to ½" Fillet Weld, 1F, 2F and 3F positions) CNC Plasma experience a must Machine shop experience required. Blueprint reading Using vertical and horizontal bandsaws Set-up and operation of manual vertical milling machines with digital readout The operation of a magnetic drill press QC of completed parts Production environment management an asset.
