This energetic position offers the opportunity to work on-site at construction locations and fabrication facilities, utilizing your welding expertise and mechanical skills to bring complex projects to life. You'll be part of a collaborative environment that values precision, safety, and innovation, ensuring high-quality results on every task. Responsibilities Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and assembly processes. Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join various metals including sheet metal. Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and schematics to measure, cut, shape, and assemble metal components accurately. Operate plasma cutters, press brake machines, and pipe threading equipment for precise fabrication tasks. Conduct rigging and assembly of structural components while adhering to ASME codes & standards for safety and quality. Utilize forklift and crane operations to move heavy materials safely around the worksite or fabrication area. Apply mechanical knowledge for pipe fitting, machining, soldering, and working with schematics to ensure proper fit-up and installation of fabricated parts. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to construction sites and manufacturing facilities. Experience Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures in dynamic environments. Skilled in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW, welding, with certification or demonstrated proficiency preferred. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills necessary for precise measurements. Experience operating power tools such as plasma cutters, press brakes, grinders, drills, and pipe threading machines. Knowledge of rigging techniques using cranes or forklifts for lifting heavy materials safely. Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in fabrication processes including sheet metal work and ductwork installation. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced construction or manufacturing settings while maintaining high standards of quality.
