The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in precision welding, fabrication, and assembly of metal components across diverse projects. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-quality metalwork, ensuring adherence to safety standards and technical specifications. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency with various hand and power tools, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately. A commitment to craftsmanship and safety is essential for success in this position. Duties Perform TIG welding on various metals, including sheet metal, pipe, and ductwork, following detailed blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols to ensure precise fabrication. Use calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances during assembly. Operate power tools such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, and hand tools safely and efficiently. Conduct fabrication tasks including cutting, bending, assembling, and welding components in accordance with ASME codes & standards. Utilize rigging equipment and crane operations when handling large or heavy materials on construction sites or within manufacturing facilities. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols related to welding, machining, and construction environments. Collaborate with team members on assembly processes, pipe threading, soldering, and mechanical installations. Support quality control by inspecting welds using appropriate testing methods to ensure compliance with industry standards. Assist in the setup of welding machines and calibration of equipment for optimal performance. Skills Proven experience in TIG welding with a strong understanding of specific welding techniques. Knowledge of MIG welding (Metal Inert Gas) as a complementary skill for versatile fabrication tasks. Familiarity with construction site environments, safety procedures, and equipment such as forklifts. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals accurately. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting devices, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment. Mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Experience working with ASME codes & standards for quality assurance in manufacturing or construction projects. Competence in rigging operations including crane handling for material movement. Understanding of pipe threading techniques and ductwork fabrication processes. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail. This position is integral to delivering high-quality metalwork solutions across manufacturing or construction projects.
