Candidate MUST be proficient with the following: Structural Welding Experience on (columns, I-beams, and other iron/steel material) Full penetration welding joining steel plates together Dual Shield Flux Core Blueprint reading + layout At least 3 years of experience in welding preferred

Duties:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and welding requirements Measure and mark workpieces using templates, measuring tape, and other precision instruments Operate welding equipment to weld structural components in various positions (flat, vertical, overhead) Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications Perform maintenance and repair on welding equipment as needed Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Certification in structural welding required (LA City or AWS) Semi-Automatic for Structural FCAW Proven experience as a structural welder Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings Strong knowledge of welding techniques, equipment, and materials Ability to operate welding equipment safely and effectively Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks requiring heavy lifting and prolonged standing Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
