Full Job Description Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Complete knowledge of set-up and standards of all assembly processes for O.E.M. exhaust manufacturing Perform complex exhaust system assembly and welding Responsible for quality craftsmanship and fabrication completed to a high level of expertise Perform production line assembly and welding of mufflers and exhaust systems Responsible for quality craftsmanship and fabrication completed too a high level of expertise Must meet and maintain level IV 10-hour shift production targets Ability to read, interpret, and follow weld prints including weld symbols Perform visual product quality audits, and verify parts against PTF Demonstrate full job knowledge regarding location and identification of parts and numbering system Identify, analyze, and resolve welding and assembly issues to maintain production flow and quality standards Ability to simultaneously handle multiple duties, prioritize work, and meet production deadlines Train and support other welders within the exhaust department on processes and standards Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the shop, equipment and tools Performing other department duties as instructed by the department supervisor
Experience, Skills & Education:
Must have 7+ years' experience in exhaust fabrication, MIG & TIG welding, and assembly Must have full knowledge and skill in all welding processes and standards for O.E.M. exhaust assemblies Must demonstrate advanced proficiency in reading and interpretating weld prints and symbols Must have full understanding of
MIG & TIG
welding machine set-up, troubleshooting, and process adjustments Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills in a production environment Must be able to read a computer screen and have basic computer skills Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions correctly
Additional Qualities Necessary:
Must be punctual and dependable at adhering to scheduled work hours Communicate, work, and coordinate effectively with team members regarding work status, output, necessary work related information, and cross-functional project updates in English. Must demonstrate strong work ethic, accountability, and attention to quality. Must be willing to support team development and share knowledge Good safety and housekeeping habits required Must be able to: Stand or Walk up to 10 Hours; Bend Neck and Waist between 5-10 hours; Twist Neck and Waist between 3-6 hours; Grasp with hands up to 6 hours; Fine manipulation up to 3 hours; Reaching or Pulling up to 3 hours; Lifting 0-10lbs up to 10 hours; Lifting 10-50lbs up to 3 hours Ability to work around machinery and may be exposed to dust We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
