FULL DESCRIPTION
: We are looking to hire an individual with strong skills in fabrication and welding who shows a strong dedication to producing high-quality work. Candidate must be accustomed to working with material such as carbon steel, stainless, and aluminum. As a welder and fabricator your purpose within the organization is to produce work that stands alongside our quality assurance policy. Effective communication skills and a passion for staying updated with industry trends are also highly valued. If you're a driven and passionate welder with a motivation to collaborate and excel at your craft, we encourage you to apply. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Read blueprints
  • joints, material size and type, finishes, symbols, weld call outs, significance, tolerances, and special call outs Set up welding equipment to proper settings for base metal thickness, joint design, and weld call out Successfully and appropriately use pneumatic tools
  • 90-degree mini grinder, straight mini grinder Keep equipment and work areas clean Tack and weld components together to Drawing specifications Fabricate
  • Cut steel using bandsaw, cold saw or oxy-propylene/oxy-acetylene Use Dial Calipers, Machinist's Square, Combination Square, 1-2-3 and/or 2-4-6 blocks, Tape Measure Fillet gages to proper settings for base metal thickness, joint design, and weld call out Carefully stay within Blueprint tolerances (Typically .010' to .030') Deburr material or weldments if needed Safely Use electric tools
  • 4' grinder, 8' grinder, drill press, hand drill, sanders, pedestal grinders, hone tools The selected candidate will also possess: Safety protocol experience 3+ Years of welding experience Proficiency in various welding techniques, such as Gas Tungsten Arc Welding, and Gas Metal Arc Welding Competence in operating welding machines, torches, and other tools used in the welding and fabrication process.
The ability to inspect welds for defects and ensure they meet industry standards for strength and integrity. Ability to take pride in the work produced. Self-driven and eager to take the lead in initiating tasks. Demonstrate a proactive approach to seeking clarification and gathering information when necessary. Strong capability of using practical judgment and understanding logical reasoning. Precision and ability to pay attention to detail. Familiarity with industry codes and regulations Able to lift to 49 lbs. Familiar with lifting equipment for lifting over 49 lbs.
