Structural Steel Welder

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various welding techniques and fabrication processes. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As a Welder, you will be responsible for producing high-quality welds in compliance with industry standards and specifications. Responsibilities Proficient skills with wire feed welding machine, grinder, and cold saw. Proficient skills in reading blueprints and shop detail drawings, measurements, and welding symbols. Ability to accurately use a tape measure. Able to clean and paint welded areas. Ability to become certified in forklift operation. Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor. Skills Must be able to communicate with basic verbal and written skills in English (preferred) or Spanish. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, including attendance. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to work in a team and complete assignments per instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard practices. High school diploma or GED preferred. AWS D1.1 and

D1.8 FCAW

Certifications preferred. Physical Requirements Able to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with federal, state and local standards, including productivity standards. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able remain stationary, standing, or crouched for extended periods of time. Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as required for positioning. Must be able to ascend / descend, or work atop a ladder. Must be able to perform repetitive functions for an extended period of time. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, hot or cold, during inclement weather, and while exposed to the elements. Must be able to safely perform all work required, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
