This welding role is responsible for fabricating and assembling metal components to customer and engineering specifications while supporting quality, safety, and production timelines. This position requires strong MIG welding skills, the ability to read blueprints and weld symbols, and a steady focus on quality workmanship in a manufacturing environment. Requirements What You'll Do Perform MIG welding on steel and aluminum components Perform TIG, arc, and gas welding as needed based on production requirements Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols Determine proper weld methods and materials based on specifications Inspect welds to ensure structural integrity and quality standards Grind, clean, and prepare materials for downstream production Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot welding equipment Follow production schedules to meet throughput and delivery timelines Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment What We're Looking For Minimum of 3 years of welding experience preferred Proficiency in MIG welding required TIG welding experience preferred but not required Ability to pass a welding proficiency test Strong blueprint reading and weld symbol interpretation skills Experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred High attention to detail and workmanship quality Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills Team-oriented with a reliable and safety-focused work style High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred Work Environment Manufacturing and shop setting Exposure to heat, sparks, welding arcs, fumes, and noise Operation of machinery and welding equipment Proper PPE and ventilation systems are provided and required Maintain regular and reliable attendance to support production requirements Physical Requirements Stand for extended periods of time Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials Ability to wear required welding PPE and protective gear Maintain regular and reliable attendance to support production requirements Benefits Overtime opportunities Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401(k) with company match Stable, year-round work environment Why Join Micro Metals?
