No Position Summary The TIG Welder is responsible for the fabrication and assembly of custom enclosures and metal components, ensuring precision, strength, and durability. This role involves working with aluminum, stainless steel, and carbon steel to meet strict specifications, industry standards, and safety requirements. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications Lay out, fit, and connect parts to be welded, including calculating measurements Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to fabricate metal components Troubleshoot welding machine issues as needed Assemble, align, and secure workpieces using fixtures prior to welding Inspect and test completed welds to ensure quality and conformance to specifications Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as required Perform additional shop duties such as cutting, assembly, or kitting Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures, including proper PPE usage Maintain equipment cleanliness and adhere to maintenance schedules Cross-train and assist in other shop functions as needed Required Skills & Competencies Ability to perform various TIG welding techniques and joints MIG welding experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent required Trade school certification in welding preferred Minimum of 2 years of welding experience preferred Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally Prolonged standing, walking, and/or sitting Manual dexterity and mobility required Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, crouching, and stooping Visual and auditory acuity required Work Environment Fast-paced fabrication shop environment Physically demanding role
