TIG Welder/Fabricator 1st Shift

• Position Summary Lays out, positions and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers and ruler and by applying appropriate technique.

Responsibilities Joins, fabricates and repairs metal and other weldable material by applying appropriate welding techniques Mig/Tig pipe and plate .060 to 1.00 inch Inspects grooves, angles or gap allowances, using micrometer, caliper and precision measuring tools Removes rough spots from work-piece using hand tools when required Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within the defined field Works under immediate supervision and is not typically required to exercise independent judgment, but at times will be necessary Safety and security: is able to observe safety and security procedures pertaining to plant maintenance/repair and use equipment properly Keep work area organized to maintain a clean and safe work environment Performs all other duties as directed by Management Competencies & Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty preferred A minimum of 1 year of experience in the field or in a related area/school Ability to read and interpret welding symbols Comfortable working in a non-temperature-controlled environment Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly and remain on feet for long periods of time Good communication skills, both written and verbal Displays a positive attitude We are located at 4750 118th Ave. North Clearwater, FL 33762 just east of 49th St on 118th Ave N.
