Aerospace Welder The Welder plays a vital role in performing high-quality TIG (GTAW), MIG (GMAW), and other welding processes on critical aerospace components. This position demands precision, consistency, and full compliance with FAA, AS9100, and other industry standards. You'll collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and production teams to ensure our parts meet the highest safety and quality benchmarks. Key Responsibilities Perform TIG and MIG welding to repair and fabricate aerospace components to specification Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, work orders, and welding symbols Inspect and measure materials and welds for compliance with quality and safety standards Maintain proper heat control and welding parameters to ensure structural integrity Conduct grinding, polishing, and finishing of welded parts as needed Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and assist with troubleshooting Accurately document all work performed, inspections, and material usage Collaborate with engineering, quality control, and production to solve technical issues Follow all FAA, AS9100, OSHA, and internal safety protocols and PPE requirements Adapt to evolving priorities and assist with other duties as needed Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required 2+ years of welding experience (aerospace or aviation industry preferred) FAA-certified welding experience is a strong plus Technical training or certification in TIG/MIG welding is highly desirable Proficient in welding stainless steel, aluminum, and exotic metals Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, symbols, and specs Knowledge of heat treatment, metal properties, and welding safety procedures Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity Strong problem-solving and communication skills Must pass all required background checks and safety screenings Working Conditions Work performed in a high-heat shop or hangar environment Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds Use of welding PPE including helmets, gloves, aprons, and safety glasses Exposure to airborne particles and machinery noise (hearing protection provided) Why Work With Us?
