Job Title:
Welder - MIG/TIG - 27-30/hr
WITH SHIFT/TRAVEL DIFFERENTIALS
Job Description We are seeking skilled Structural Welders for an opportunity in Kings Bay, GA. This role involves utilizing MIG and TIG welding skills to fabricate and repair equipment, ensuring high-quality work in a government contract environment. Responsibilities Receive instructions, prints, and work orders to plan work procedures and determine tool and material requirements. Fabricate equipment by cutting, burning, and welding various metals. Repair equipment using appropriate welding techniques and equipment in flat, vertical, or overhead positions. Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded, set up, assemble, and tack weld parts. Build up worn or defective surfaces. Use burning equipment to dismantle assemblies and cut material to size and shape. Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly. Weld parts to form complete units or subunits. Follow blueprints and layout specifications using jigs, welding torches, and hand tools. Essential Skills MIG and TIG welding proficiency. Ability to follow blueprints and layout specifications. Experience with FCAW, SMAW, and other welding techniques. Additional Skills & Qualifications Active Secret Security Clearance (Final) required. Minimum of 1+ years experience in a shipyard or the Navy working on submarines or related marine industry. Completion of Welding School and practical experience in the field. Experience working with MIG and TIG welding techniques. Why Work Here? There may be opportunities to work on base and travel as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.89/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
