Gator Dredging is water construction company with vessels/equipment requiring continuous maintenance. Must be motivated and able to think outside the box. You will use hand-welding and flame cutting equipment, such as gas welding and stick. Regulate current and voltage for proper fusion of metals and select electrode type and size. $20.00 to $26.00. This is based on previous work experience, skills, and current certifications / professional licenses. Essential Functions & Responsibilities for the
Welder:
Comply with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies. Maintain proper housekeeping. Assure that work meets expected quality standards. Understand CTQs. Perform daily inspection of all the equipment and tools prior to use. Technically qualified to perform MIG and stick welding. Familiar with various electrodes and their application. Knowledge of the inert gases used in welding and selects the best suited process for the application. Understand and properly apply single fillet, double fillet, square groove, V groove and U groove welds. Ability to do all position welding on alloys presented. Perform other general duties as assigned. Requirements for the
Welder:
Able to follow direction. Ability to read blueprints and use measurement devices Ability to read decimal and fractional measurement. Knowledge of welding equipment. Certified in
TIG & MIG
is a plus. Ability to operate forklift. Ability to work overtime. Wear personal protective equipment, for example safety glasses, gloves, and safety shoes, ear plugs.
