Job Description

Reports to:
Facilities Manager Department:
Facilities Shift:
1st Shift Monday - Friday 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Summary of Job Duties:
Ability to read and understand blueprints prior to starting a project. Ability to safely perform the acts of metal forming, bending and finishing. Ability to measure and cut materials to specifications. Ability to identify and source correct materials required to join specific metals together. Ability to identify the correct welding process to weld materials together. Ability to cut and weld materials with a variety of processes to include MIG, TIG and ARC. Ability to identify and perform a variety of welding repairs as needed. Ability to communicate effectively, both with verbal and written communication. Responsible for checking finished work to ensure that it falls within the tolerances as defined on the blueprints. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Required Minimum for all
Levels:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic computer skills. Basic problem-solving skills. Must be able and willing to work independently and as a team member in varying conditions (heat, cold, indoor/outdoor and heights up to 50 feet). Knowledge of proper PPE for each job performed. Knowledge of various welding techniques including MIG, TIG and Arc. Safety minded attitude. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to memorize the names and sizes of all rack types.
