Ace Air Conditioning is a leader in commercial HVAC new construction, specializing in restaurant projects across the continental United States. We're seeking a skilled and dependable Welder who is excited about traveling, working on specialty restaurant installations, and contributing to high-quality, detail-oriented work on the road.

Position Overview:

The Welder works under the direction of the Field Manager and Foreman to complete welding tasks related to kitchen exhaust systems—such as hoods and ductwork—on new construction job sites. This position requires travel, sometimes for extended periods, and is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to grow in the HVAC construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Weld and install stainless steel hoods, ducts, and fans per job specifications and drawings. Assist with the layout, rigging, and hoisting of large kitchen ventilation equipment. Ensure all welds are clean, structurally sound, and meet safety and quality standards. Operate hand and power tools, grinders, saws, and other shop equipment safely. Load and unload equipment and materials for each job site. Maintain a clean and organized work area both in the shop and on the job site. Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols. Work closely with the Foreman and Field Manager to meet project timelines and expectations.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1-2 years of welding experience, preferably in HVAC or kitchen exhaust systems. Proficient in MIG and TIG welding of stainless steel. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints or construction drawings. Experience installing hoods and Type I exhaust systems in commercial kitchens. Prior experience on restaurant construction sites. HVAC commercial sheet metal installation and fabrication experience. Comfortable working at heights and on ladders/lifts. Willingness and ability to travel for extended periods (up to several weeks at a time). Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs., standing for long periods, and working in various weather conditions. Must have a valid driver's license.
