Job Description

The Certified Welder and Technician is responsible for the setup and operation of welding and fabrication equipment while producing high-quality components that meet demanding engineering and quality standards.
Specific responsibilities include:
Set up and operate spot welding and TIG welding equipment. Fabricate and weld components in accordance with engineering drawings and specifications. Follow engineering drawings to ensure accurately fabricated parts. Perform sheet metal fabrication operations including laser cutting, forming, welding, hardware installation, and final assembly. Suggest processes and operations to produce the best possible results. Examine workpieces for defects and measure workpieces to ensure conformance with specifications. Use hand and power tools to grind, shape, smooth, and blend seams. Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Support production and engineering teams in developing efficient manufacturing methods and improving product quality. Position Requirements U.S. Citizenship required due to strict ITAR regulations. High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 3 years of TIG welding experience.

Welding Certification required. Previous aerospace welding experience required, including the ability to consistently hold tight tolerances and meet stringent quality requirements. Demonstrated ability to fabricate complex sheet metal parts from start to finish, including laser cutting, press brake operation, welding, hardware installation, and assembly. Candidates will be required to demonstrate their welding and fabrication abilities. Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols. Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. Knowledge of fabrication processes, tooling, and precision measuring equipment. Advanced math skills preferred. Must be adaptable to changing priorities and production requirements. Ability to work with limited supervision. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
