Job Title:
Welder Job Description Build something that matters. As a Welder on our team, you'll help create modular, mobile gas-to-methanol systems—highly engineered, field-deployed "chemical plants on wheels." This is not repetitive production welding. Every system is purpose-built, precision-crafted, and designed to perform in demanding real-world environments.Your skill, pride in workmanship, and attention to detail will directly influence system safety, quality, and long-term reliability. If you enjoy challenging builds, clean work, and seeing your craftsmanship turned into a finished product that actually gets deployed, this role is for you. Responsibilities Weld structural frames, piping systems, and pressure vessels in accordance with engineering drawings, applicable codes, and qualified weld procedures. Cut, fit, and assemble carbon steel, stainless steel, and other metals to build modular skids and integrated process systems. Read and interpret fabrication drawings, isometric drawings, schematics, and weld callouts to ensure accurate, efficient execution. Assemble equipment, piping, valves, and controls into sub-skids and modules with proper fit, alignment, and functionality. Support electrical integration by installing basic wiring and electrical components per assembly and build instructions. Perform visual and dimensional inspections, verify fit-up and tolerances, and ensure compliance with all QA/QC and safety standards. Collaborate closely with engineers, quality, and fellow technicians to troubleshoot issues and solve build challenges. Plan and sequence welding and fabrication tasks using strong blueprint reading and layout skills. Apply appropriate welding processes for both structural and pipe welding on carbon and stainless steel materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work area in accordance with company policies and procedures. Essential & Additional Skills Hands-on welding and fabrication experience in industrial or manufacturing environments. Technical training in Welding, Manufacturing, or Engineering Technology (technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience). Proficiency with FCAW, SMAW, and GTAW welding processes on carbon and stainless steels in 3G/4G plate and 6G pipe positions. Valid welding certifications for carbon steel, stainless steel, and dissimilar metal welding. Strong ability to read and work from engineering drawings, isometrics, schematics, and technical documentation. Understanding of process piping systems, bolted joints, mechanical compression connections, and basic instrument installation. Excellent blueprint reading skills and attention to detail. Strong troubleshooting skills and a commitment to doing the job right the first time. Ability to work independently and collaboratively, supported by clear communication and professionalism. Why Work Here? You'll be part of a skilled, driven team building cutting-edge modular energy systems—not commodity products. We value craftsmanship, problem-solving, and teamwork, and we invest in people who want to grow their skills and careers. We offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and paid holidays. Professional development support is available for continued skill growth, and overtime opportunities are offered for those who want to boost their earnings. Most importantly, you'll take pride in work that leaves the shop and performs in the real world. Work Environment You'll work in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility designed for precision, safety, and comfort. The standard schedule is four 10-hour shifts per week, with Fridays available for overtime; the schedule may later transition to a five-day workweek. Daily work includes welding and fabricating modular skids, piping, and pressure vessels using modern welding equipment, fabrication tools, and precision measurement instruments.
