Architectural Metal Fabricator / Welder Forge Fine Steel Alpharetta, GA Job Details Full-time $24 - $29 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Maintaining an organized workspace Mechanical fabrication Detail drawing interpretation Blueprint section views Cutting Assembly Attention to detail Band saw Full Job Description We are a small custom fabrication shop specializing in steel windows and doors for high-end residential and commercial projects. This is custom fabrication, not production work. Most units are fabricated by a single fabricator from start to finish, so craftsmanship, attention to detail, and pride in your work matter. While you will work independently, our projects often include multiple units built by different team members, so communication and consistency are important. Responsibilities Fabricate custom steel window and door assemblies from shop drawings Layout, fit, cut, weld, grind, and finish steel components Operate shop equipment including cold saw, bandsaw, drill press, ironworker, roll bender, and grinders Maintain a clean and organized work area Coordinate with team members to maintain consistency across projects Assist with other shop tasks as needed Qualifications Minimum 3 years of fabrication experience, preferably in steel windows, doors, railings, stair systems, ornamental metalwork, or similar custom architectural metal projects Strong MIG welding and fabrication skills Ability to read and work from shop drawings Demonstrated track record of producing quality work with attention to fit, finish, and detail Able to work independently and communicate effectively with the team Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 75 lbs., and work in an unconditioned warehouse environment Forklift experience is a plus What We Offer Four-day work week (four 10-hour days) Overtime required as needed High-end custom projects with visible, lasting results Small team environment where quality work is valued Steady work and straightforward compensation Currently no health insurance or other formal benefits
