In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise welding operations using Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) techniques to create high-quality metal assemblies. Your expertise in various welding processes, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will ensure the production of durable, accurate components that meet strict industry standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects on construction sites and in manufacturing environments, utilizing your technical skills and attention to detail to deliver exceptional results. Responsibilities Execute TIG welding on diverse materials, including sheet metal and pipe components, adhering strictly to blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications. Utilize hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal parts efficiently. Read and interpret detailed schematics, engineering drawings, and ASME codes & standards to ensure precise fabrication and welding quality. Perform MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding as needed for various projects. Conduct routine inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances during fabrication. Operate rigging equipment such as cranes and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks on construction sites or in manufacturing facilities. Maintain a clean work environment by following safety protocols related to welding, machining, soldering, and mechanical operations; ensure compliance with OSHA standards. Assist in assembly processes, pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and mechanical installations while adhering to project timelines. Experience Proven construction site experience with welding in diverse environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in TIG welding with a strong understanding of welding techniques. Hands-on experience with MIG welding, FCAW, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and sheet metal fabrication. Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math skills for precise measurements. Knowledge of mechanical systems including pipe threading, soldering, machining operations, and assembly processes. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, forklifts (certification preferred), rigging equipment (cranes), and other fabrication machinery safely.
