Job Description

Essential Responsibility:
This position is responsible for utilizing, practicing and training others on basic manufacturing fundamentals, associated with 5S in the Curing areas. Daily Responsibilities include
  • but not limited to: Light repair and cleaning of the Preforming Machine area (DP & BL) Inspection of all mechanical areas
  • make up Maintenance requests for any repairs outside the scope of light repairs. Maintain an analytical summary of reject issues Maintain a daily summary of Preforming Recycle material
  • report unusual results. Machine setup Keep Supervisor and Manager updated with all current and potential problems. Utilize the Kanban system to prepare for future setups Work closely with Mold Technicians

Primary Responsibilities:
Improves Manufacturing Functions by maintaining a clean environment in the Curing and Preforming Machine areas; by troubleshooting all machine functions; by assisting Supervisor or Team Leader with continuous Quality improvement activities; by supporting the MFG Team to exceed the daily production targets; by wearing proper PPE; by identifying and reporting potential safety hazards; by maintaining the work area using the principles of 5S; by using the basic principle of SPC techniques; by following all proper Lockout Tagout Procedures; by suggesting for improvements in documentation regarding procedures and systems; by performing tests, trials, as necessary to improve machine process; by creating standard operating procedures (SOP) and troubleshooting guides, by supporting machine setups and mold technicians activity. Maintains Documentation by submitting written continuous improvement suggestions; and by completing all necessary documentation in a clear and timely manner; by maintaining records of daily rejected products; by using graphs, charts and other related tools to analyze the current status of waste related to the DP & BL Curing areas; by reporting promptly all potential issues that would have effect on waste and associated monthly cost; submit monthly summary of departmental waste amounts. Manages Time and Resources by using tools provided by the Company in order to maximize productivity and to accomplish tasks on time. Keeps Management Informed by participating in meetings; and by reporting problems to Management verbally or in writing in order to avoid confusion and further problems. Performs Other Duties as assigned by Manager, Supervisor, or other Management Team Member Upholds Standards of Safety, Quality, and Cost by following the Company's standards and guidelines for maintaining safety, quality, and cost; by taking initiative to make these points top priority at the Company; by immediately reporting any conditions that do not uphold the standards of safety, quality, and cost to the Supervisor or Management; and by making suggestions for necessary improvements to uphold these standards as necessary. Contributes to the Team Effort by consistently achieving individual goals in order to contribute to the achievement of departmental and Company goals; by being flexible in work assignments; by covering for other MFG Staff as needed; by accomplishing related tasks when requested; by being open to feedback from peers, Supervisors, and Management; and by using the feedback to improve performance. Maintains Professional and Technical Knowledge by attaining job-related certification as necessary; by seeking out job-related training in order to improve personal skills, as well as efficiency and knowledge in the workplace; and by applying that knowledge to the job. Upholds Professionalism in the Workplace by maintaining professional conduct and appearance; by realizing one's own limitations and seeking assistance when needed; and by using established communication channels. Certifications & Experience:
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Typical qualifications would be High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Required Skills and Knowledge:
Language Skills Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general business documents, forms and instructions in English. Ability to write reports and business correspondence in English. Ability to effectively respond to questions in English. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English. Reasoning Skills Ability to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry-out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Additional Required Skills and Knowledge:
Computer Skills Ability to use a computer as necessary. Other Skills Must be tactful, mature, flexible and able to successfully respond to multiple work pressures. Other Qualifications Must have a minimum of two years of experience working at NAMI. Must have demonstrated effective judgment and initiative in performing difficult to complex projects. Demonstrates broad knowledge and experience in the assigned departmental responsibilities as defined by the Manager of Manufacturing

Work Environment:
Ability to stand, sit, or walk, in office or field duties; A full range of motion to see, hear, touch, and to observe documents at the office or materials on the field; Ordinary vision and hearing for communication and observation; Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
