Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Full-Time | Guaranteed 40 Hours Per Week Fortified Fence Group is a well-established and growing fence company proudly serving the Atlanta market since 2002. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our warehouse and fabrication team as a Welder's Helper / Fence Shop Assistant. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants the opportunity to learn welding and advance into a long-term career within our company. Position Overview You will assist our fabrication and warehouse team in preparing materials for approximately 10-12 installation crews daily. This role plays a critical part in making sure jobs are prepared accurately, safely, and on schedule. You will work closely with welders, installers, and operations staff to help keep production moving efficiently throughout the day. Responsibilities Assist with cutting, grinding, and preparing pipe and fencing materials Stretch chain link onto gate frames Prime and paint gates and fence panels Help prepare and organize materials for installation crews Assist welders with fabrication prep work Help load and unload trucks safely within a busy yard environment Maintain organization and perform inventory checks as needed Communicate effectively with co-workers and operations staff Identify and address safety hazards to maintain a safe work environment Adapt to fast-paced scheduling changes and last-minute material adjustments Welding & Growth Opportunity Previous welding experience is helpful but not required. We are looking for someone eager to learn and grow into a full-time welding position over time. This role will begin by assisting with fabrication prep work and simple welding-related tasks while learning from experienced welders. As skills improve, there will be opportunities to advance into more complex gate fabrication and aluminum welding work. Our goal is to develop this position into a future full-time welder role for the right individual. Qualifications Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Dependable and punctual Willingness to learn new skills Ability to frequently lift 20-40 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs when flipping gates Basic construction, welding, or fence knowledge is a plus but not mandatory Preferred Experience (Not Required) Experience in any of the following areas is a plus: Fence installation Chain link fencing Gate fabrication Welding Operators and access controls Material handling or warehouse work Benefits & Compensation Starting pay: $16-$18+ per hour based on experience Guaranteed 40 hours per week Paid major holidays 1 week paid vacation after 1 year 2 weeks paid vacation after 2 years Occasional overtime opportunities We are willing to train the right person who brings the mindset, motivation, and reliability needed to succeed as part of our team.
