Perks & Benefits Direct Deposit or Cash Card pay options Medical / Dental Insurance $35.00/Hour Employment Type & Shifts Full Time Direct Hire 1st Shift Job Responsibilities Assures that tank/compartment has an updated safe for hot work ticket and that requirements of the ticket have been met. Assures that conditions of the tank/compartment have not changed since the ticket was written. Assures that a Work Authorization Form (WAF) ticket is on the job site and that it is for the specific job being accomplished, no work will be accomplished without a WAF posted at the location of repairs. Assures that any other safety issues are complied with that relate to the specific job being accomplished. Assures that you are trained or qualified for the work you are assigned to do. Assures that General Dynamics-NASSCO's Safety Procedures, including testing, are utilized for all torch work. Assures that you and personnel working under your direction are working as safely and as productively as possible maintaining quality control at all times. Assures that a 30 minute cool down period has been accomplished in hot work areas.

Qualifications:

Must have full knowledge of WAF's Must know all 1st Class requirements Must be able to complete work with little or no guidance from Supervisor Must have basic knowledge of Standard Items Must have basic knowledge of ship equipment Works well with others. Must be willing to travel and have reliable transportation. • Must have a reliable record of attendance and punctuality and be available for overtime as required. Must be able to physically transit all areas of the facility. Must have good eye/hand coordination. Must be familiar with working in a naval-ship-work-environment and be able to go aboard marine vessels These areas can be dirty, dusty, hot or cold, and noisy. Must have or soon acquire a valid passport. Associate Requirements HS Diploma or GED Background Check Able to Lift 50 pounds Drug Test Must be at least 18 years old The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $35.00 - $35.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
