6:00am-2:30pm QPS Employment Group is hiring Welders / Fabrication Technicians for a company in Algona, IA. This opportunity is available as either associate-to-hire or direct hire for well-qualified candidates. • Perform welding and fabrication tasks based on shop priorities.
• Weld aluminum, cast iron, and magnesium components.
• Complete re-work functions and repair projects as assigned.
• Assist Drivetrain Technicians with welding and fabrication needs.
• Work alongside machinists on specialty welding projects.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and cosmetic standards are met.
• Report machinery or equipment issues to maintenance personnel.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE at all times.

Welder Requirements:

• Experience with MIG, TIG, and wire-feed welding required.
• Basic automotive and mechanical knowledge preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to operate plasma cutters and torches.
• Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
• Ability to lift and move materials and components as needed.
• Ability to bend, twist, kneel, and perform repetitive movements.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment.
