Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as an Industrial TIG Welder and bring precision, craftsmanship, and innovation to our manufacturing and construction projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse fabrication tasks, utilizing advanced welding techniques to produce high-quality metal components. As an integral part of our skilled workforce, you will contribute to the creation of durable structures and custom metal assemblies that meet rigorous industry standards. Duties Perform TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding on various metals, including sheet metal, ductwork, and pipe components, ensuring adherence to blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and welding symbols accurately to guide fabrication processes. Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal parts. Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and basic math skills to verify dimensions and tolerances meet specifications. Apply welding techniques in compliance with ASME codes & standards for manufacturing and construction projects. Assist with rigging, crane operations, pipe threading, soldering, machining, and assembly tasks as needed on-site or in the workshop. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols related to construction site work, forklift operation, mechanical knowledge, and use of personal protective equipment. Skills Proven experience in construction site environments with a strong understanding of safety procedures. Expertise in TIG welding with additional skills in MIG welding (Metal Inert Gas) and FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding). Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately for precise fabrication. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and other fabrication machinery. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards applicable to welding and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with crane operation, rigging techniques, forklift handling, and pipe threading for heavy-duty projects. Mechanical knowledge including machining processes, ductwork fabrication, soldering techniques, and schematic interpretation. Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tolerances.
