Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Be proficient in GMAW welding processes in all positions. Be proficient in knowledge and use of fabrication techniques involved with structural steel fabrication. Operation of machinery involved in the fabrication of various types of structures. This may include operation of plate shears, ironworkers, drilling and tapping operations, plasma cutting, and handheld oxygen/acetylene torches. Proficiency in the use of all fabrication hand tools, including drills, grinders, cutting tools, squares, levels, etc. Understanding, and safe use of overhead cranes and rigging equipment. Proficiency in the reading and understanding of fabrication drawings and CAD drawings. This position requires the welder to layout material per the blueprints, no jigs are used.
Additional Job Skills:
All tasks must be performed up to quality standards of AISC Lifting capabilities up to 75 lbs Overtime and weekend work required on occasion to complete jobs Maintain production efficiency levels Maintain a safe and organized work area
Qualifications:
Welding experience and the ability to read a blueprint.

Education:
Must have high school diploma or equivalent Welding/Trade School and weld certifications are desired
