Position Available:
Lead Structural Steel We are accepting applications for a lead fitter and welder for our Structural Steel Division. Selected applicants will be required to pass a welding test appropriate for Structural Steel. Other positions are also available. Schedule is typically
Monday-Friday:
5:00am to 2:30pm
Essential Responsibilities:
Sets up and adjusts specific welding equipment for the type of welding to be performed. Reads or listens to instructions. Examines prints or plans Measures materials. Fits parts/materials in place, gets ready to weld. Uses appropriate welding methods to attach pieces of materials to build or fabricate finished products or parts. He/she performs welds that are appropriate and acceptable for the products fabricated. Ensure all employees on the night shift are working safely, following directions and producing material correctly.
Qualifications:
Ability to reach over and around objects to lift, move, or place objects or materials. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently. Ability to occasionally lift objects weighing over 60 with assistance. Ability to see in order to perform welding function, read drawing and instructions, and place materials where needed. Some positions require the ability to work on raised platforms, climb stairs or ladders, or climb off equipment or ladders. Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, squat, kneel, climb, push, pull, reach above shoulder height, and reach below shoulder height. Ability to handle, place, manipulate, operate, stack, and connect equipment and materials through fine and basic hand skills. Ability to use hands and fingers repetitively to grasp and hold up to 10 pounds for up to 20 minutes. Ability to verbally communicate with coworkers and supervisors in a safe and productive manner. Hold others accountable. Ability to work extended shifts to meet business demands. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
