Carol Stream We're seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our team in a clean, modern, and well‑organized manufacturing facility. This is a great opportunity for an experienced welder who takes pride in precision, quality, and craftsmanship. What You'll Do Set up and operate TIG welding equipment and fixtures , making adjustments and troubleshooting as needed Assemble high‑quality weldments according to specifications and standard operating procedures Perform secondary welding processes such as polishing, grinding, weld cleaning, and sandblasting Safely handle and position piece parts, selecting the appropriate tungsten and temperature for each job Read and interpret blueprints , including material gauges and tolerances Develop, maintain, and improve fixtures and shadowboxing Partner with floor leadership to ensure quality standards and process compliance Use measuring tools such as tape measures and calipers Perform first and last article inspections to verify accuracy and quality What We're Looking For 1-4+ years of TIG welding experience in a metal manufacturing environment 2+ years of fabrication experience Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and bills of materials Proficiency with hand tools, calipers, squares , and precision measuring instruments Strong attention to detail and ability to differentiate colors Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or trade school training Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carol Stream, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.98 - $24.98/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
