As a family-owned metal supply company, we serve contractors, fabricators, and industrial customers with a wide range of steel, aluminum, stainless, and specialty metals. Osorio Metal Fabrications is seeking a dependable and skilled TIG Welder / Fabrication Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision work, values safety, and thrives in a fast-paced shop environment. Responsibilities Perform welding operations using TIG, MIG, ARC, and/or gas welding processes in accordance with approved welding procedures, quality standards, and production requirements. Read and interpret measurements, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly, while following approved WPS and production specifications. Set up and operate welding equipment, including selecting proper filler metals, torch tips, and machine settings based on material and project requirements. Tack weld and fit components to ensure proper alignment before final welding. Inspect completed welds for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity using measuring tools and visual inspection techniques. Grind, clean, and finish welded surfaces as needed. Operate fabrication equipment and material handling tools safely and efficiently. Maintain production efficiency while producing high-quality work with strong attention to detail. Perform rework or repairs as required to meet quality standards, report any production errors immediately Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards. Properly wear and maintain required personal protective equipment (PPE). Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines. Assist with additional fabrication and shop duties as assigned. Complete quality checks on finished work and verify measurements prior to releasing parts for further production, or customer delivery. Qualifications & Skills TIG welding experience required. 1-2 years of welding or fabrication experience Bilingual English/Spanish due to daily team collaboration. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality workmanship. Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, squares, and gauges. Basic math and measurement skills required. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Understanding of workplace safety practices and OSHA compliance. Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent TIG welding certifications are a plus but not required based on experience. Experience with welding, grinding, polishing, fitting, and general fabrication Physical Requirements Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and move throughout the shift. Ability to safely lift, carry, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to dust, noise, heat, sparks, and welding fumes. Must be able to wear required PPE including welding helmet, gloves, safety glasses, and steel-toe boots. Ability to perform precision welding tasks requiring manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, with or without reasonable accommodation. Schedule Full-time position. Monday through Friday with overtime and Saturday work as needed based on production demands. Pay & Benefits Starting pay beginning at $20.00 per hour with opportunities for higher compensation based on welding experience, fabrication skills, and qualifications. Overtime opportunities available.
