  • 28/hr (up to $30/hr DOE) + significant overtime
Schedule:
1st Shift | 5:00 AM
  • 4:30 PM typical, Saturdays as needed
Type:
Contract-to-Hire with strong long-term potential Ask Yourself… Do you prefer building custom enclosures over repetitive production work? Can you read complex mechanical blueprints and hold tight tolerances? Are you confident with MIG on both sheet and structural components? Up for overtime when projects ramp (up to 60-65 hrs/week)? If yes, here's what you'll do: Tackle full-cycle fabrication: layout, fit-up, weld, and final assembly Interpret detailed prints for large, engineered assemblies Measure precisely with tape, calipers, and micrometers Use saws, grinders, and drills to prep and finish components Safely operate overhead cranes to position assemblies Verify alignment, squareness, and structural integrity Tools & Techniques You'll Use MIG welding as a core skill (TIG a plus) Precision measurement for tight tolerances General fab equipment: saws, grinders, drills Shop material handling with cranes and related gear What You Need to Bring 3-5+ years in welding/fabrication; non-production shop experience preferred Strong blueprint literacy, ideally with large assemblies Mechanical assembly experience (highly preferred) A builder's mindset—hands-on, detail-driven Why This Team Stands Out Work that matters: custom industrial enclosures for high-profile data centers Growth mode: scaling from ~$30M to ~$80M+ in active orders Backed by 100+ years of company history, expanding facilities, and weekly new hires Mix of indoor and outdoor work keeps projects interesting High odds of long-term conversion; many contractors stay beyond 6 months Interview One-step onsite Fast decisions—usually within 48 hours Join a confidential, well-established manufacturer doing big things with global tech leaders.
