$20/hr Position Overview A manufacturing facility in the Rantoul area is hiring MIG Welders to support production and fabrication operations. This role involves welding steel components, reading blueprints, operating fabrication equipment, and maintaining quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates should be comfortable working with production schedules, maintaining weld quality, and performing hands-on shop work throughout the shift. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on steel components and assemblies Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and production drawings Operate grinders, saws, and other fabrication equipment Inspect welds for quality and accuracy Measure materials and maintain production specifications Complete production work efficiently while maintaining safety standards Assist with fabrication, assembly, and general shop support as needed Maintain clean and organized work areas Qualifications Previous MIG welding experience required Ability to read a tape measure and basic blueprints Manufacturing or fabrication experience preferred Ability to lift, bend, stand, and perform physical work throughout the shift Strong attention to detail and quality Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications Flux core or TIG welding experience Structural steel or fabrication experience Ability to pass a weld test
