MIG , TIG , FLUX
, and Stick processes. You will work with steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals, ensuring high-quality welds that meet exacting standards for a variety of high-spec applications. The position also includes setting up, adjusting, and preparing punch and laser combinations for assigned jobs. Responsibilities + Pass and maintain a 3G weld test to demonstrate welding proficiency. + Join and repair metal and other welding materials using appropriate
MIG , TIG
, Stick, and FLUX welding techniques. + Fit and weld steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metal parts according to detailed blueprint specifications. + Set up, adjust, and prepare punch and laser combinations for various jobs as required. + Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions to determine welding requirements and sequence of operations. + Use measuring equipment such as tape measures, rulers, calipers, and micrometers to verify dimensions and ensure quality workmanship. + Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on materials or workpieces to guide welding operations. + Verify conformance of finished workpieces to blueprint specifications using precision measuring instruments. + Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently, monitoring for malfunctions or non-conforming conditions. + Observe machines and processes to detect issues and adjust machine controls or welding parameters as needed to maintain quality. + Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety procedures and proper handling of tools and equipment. + Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and quality standards. Essential Skills + Ability to pass a 3G weld test (required). + At least 3 years of TIG welding experience (required). + Proficiency in

, Stick, and FLUX welding processes. + Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. + Skilled in fitting and welding steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals. + Competent use of measuring tools such as tape measures, rulers, calipers, and micrometers. + Ability to verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments. + Experience working in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. + Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds. + Ability to detect and correct non-conforming conditions by adjusting machines or processes. + Capability to perform repetitive tasks and physical activities throughout the shift. Additional Skills & Qualifications + MIG welding experience of approximately 3 years (preferred). + At least 1 year of experience working with sheet metal (preferred). + At least 1 year of fabrication experience (preferred). + Welding certification or equivalent formal training (preferred). + Experience with punch and laser job set-up and adjustment. + Familiarity with high-spec manufacturing for industries such as power generation, healthcare, electrical power distribution, aerospace, defense, and life sciences. + Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot welding and equipment issues. + Willingness to work either 1st or 2nd shift as needed. Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing shop environment with regular exposure to noise, dust, and operating machinery. You will be required to use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection to maintain a safe workplace. The work involves repetitive tasks, standing, and physical activity throughout the shift. The schedule follows a four-day workweek: 1st Shift operates Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 2nd Shift operates Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with multiple positions available on both shifts. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Schaumburg, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $74880.00/yr.
