Description:
Job Overview:
A MIG Welder is responsible for welding to join metal parts, requiring skills in blueprint reading, equipment setup, material preparation, and welding quality products together.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cleaning, grinding, and ensuring surfaces are free of contaminants before welding Adjusting amperage, voltage, gas flow, and wire feed speed for optimal welds Use MIG welding equipment and techniques to join metal parts according to customer order specifications Check welds for cracks, defects, and porosity to ensure quality and integrity Ensure welding equipment is clean, well-maintained, and in good working order Identify and resolve issues with welding equipment and processes Adhere to all safety protocols
Shift and Schedule:
Full-time 10-hour shift Monday through Friday Saturdays as scheduled

Requirements:
Required Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints to understand the specifications for welding projects Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed to specifications Knowledge of MIG welding processes, blueprint reading and metal properties Ability to troubleshoot welding issues and find solutions Understanding of safety protocols and regulations
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent Previous manufacturing and welding experience
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking Ability to lift and move materials, small and large parts, sometimes 50 pounds or more Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch Ability to manipulate tools and equipment accurately Good hand-eye coordination for operating equipment to make precise welds
