Company Description Superior Tank & Trailer is a semi tanker company serving customers across the region from its base in Beach City, OH. The company specializes in tank and trailer services. Team members work with a variety of tanks and equipment in a hands-on, service-oriented environment. Superior Tank & Trailer values reliability, quality work, and strong customer service. We are a smaller privately owned business that has been in New Point Indiana for the last 13 years. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanic/Welder role based in Greensburg, IN. The Mechanic/Welder will perform diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on tanks, trailers, and related heavy equipment. Some services we proved include braking systems repair, suspensions, frame repairs, and hydraulic components. Responsibilities include welding and fabrication on steel and other metals, repairing structural components, and performing cutting, grinding, and fitting work. The role involves conducting preventive maintenance inspections, documenting work performed, ordering or requesting parts as needed, and keeping work areas, tools, and equipment in good condition. Qualifications Proficiency in welding and fabrication (MIG, TIG, or other applicable processes), including cutting, grinding, and reading simple drawings is highly beneficial. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and safety practices in a repair shop or industrial environment. High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanics or welding is preferred. Previous experience as a mechanic, welder, or in a similar maintenance role in trucking, transportation, or heavy equipment is highly beneficial. Ability to lift and move heavy components, work in various shop conditions, and follow all safety and compliance requirements. Willingness and ability to learn and adjust to the job.
Pay:
$18.00 - $24.00 per hour
