Job Description
Summit Staffing is currently hiring experienced MIG Welders for a growing manufacturing operation in Pendleton, IN. In this role, you will be responsible for performing MIG welding on aluminum components while maintaining high-quality workmanship and adhering to production schedules. Candidates should be comfortable reading blueprints, measuring materials, fabricating components, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Essential Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on aluminum materials according to specifications and quality standards Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions Select appropriate welding equipment, materials, and shielding gas mixtures Prepare materials and work surfaces prior to welding Measure, cut, drill, and assemble metal components Inspect and test completed welds for strength and quality Maintain welding equipment and ensure tools are in proper working condition Assist with inventory control and shop organization Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations Maintain a clean and safe work environment Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required Formal MIG welding training, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience Minimum of 2 years of MIG welding experience required Experience welding aluminum preferred Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work throughout the shift Reliable transportation to
